
Annual proHRO Conferences
proHRO organizes an annual 2-day event for all members to share experiences, to get to know other thought leaders and to develop existing practices. To expand the network, proHRO Conference will be open for non-members on the first day of the conference. Each conference will take place in a different country and is hosted by local sponsors.
Each proHRO Conference explores a specific theme. They focus on sharing practices of HRO and reflection on these practices with scientists. For 2011 the proHRO Conference theme is “Real-time-learning in high complexity environments”.
Experts from various industry sectors are invited to broaden the view on these themes. proHRO Members are involved as moderators in interactive workshops that focus on sharing experiences between proHRO members and conference participants.
Monthly Conference calls
Each month proHRO schedules a Skype or telephone conference around a specific topic. Conference calls are open for all members. Members are invited to suggest topics and act as topic owners. The one-hour conference will take place each first Friday of a month from 16.00 – 17.00 hours (Amsterdam time zone). The first call will start in December 2011, immediately after the first conference.
Publication and Case Collection
proHRO invites all members to collect and share cases relevant for High Reliability Organizing. Each year proHRO will publish a book about the key findings and contributions of the proHRO Conference, new research, cases and emerging topics.
Community Platform
proHRO hosts a website open to all members with numerous cases and a collection of publications and further information about HRO. On the website members have the opportunity to present themselves with a personal profile including their areas of interest, expertise to share and current questions (Yellow Pages). They will be able to interactively exchange using forums, shared documents as well as chats.
